Family Law

Family Law is a branch of law that deals with family matters and it is within the scope of civil law. The principle of unity, the principle of continuity, the principle of protection of the weak, the absence of freedom of regulation, the principle of state intervention, the principle of equality are the principles that are valid in family law.

The main subjects of family law are, engagement, conditions, and provisions of marriage, conditions and consequences of divorce, marital property, residential building, lineage, adoption, guardianship, child support, custody, tutorship, legal counseling, alimony.  Although the issues covered within the scope of women’s rights or children’s rights, such as women’s rights and children’s rights, domestic violence, surrogate motherhood, artificial insemination, child abuse, and child abduction, constitute a separate area of study in their own right, both in international conventions and in domestic law, they are also in concern of the family law.
